Bugs & Feature Requests / Re: FEATURE REQUEST!
« on: April 01, 2008, 09:11:05 pm »
I am hope i am right to assume that this is for any requests about Bit Che.
I think that some nice additions to Bit Che would be if at all possible the making the torrent categorized most torrents sites have categories while they are not all the some they are very similar as in "Videos/TV shows" where another site might have them separated.

I thought that something nice would be a Peer to Seed Ratio, and Swarm Speed, while for Swarm speed i have no idea what that might in tale.

Uhhh, I'm not quite sure what you mean. Guevara Edition edition can already search for specific categories such as Music or Games.

If you want to make a feature request though, your better making a new thread here.

There's just an error with the script, either because the latest script wasn't programmed correctly or the site has updated itself. I'm sure a fix will come out soon and you'll be automatically notified of a new script pack.

Bugs & Feature Requests / Re: Bit Che - 1.0 build 60
« on: March 29, 2008, 10:55:03 pm »
It doesn't start and crashes in Windows 2000.

I´m having the same problem and there aren´t a log file.

Yeah, it's a recognised problem it doesn't work in Win2000 atm, Chip is getting it installed on his computer so he can test and see what's wrong with it.

What build are you using? What OS are you running on?

My guess it isn't 64-bit compatible.

Well I'm running XP x64 and it's fine. It's probably an issue to do with DEP, which should be fixed in build 60.

Will be back tmw. just downloaded futuremark benchmark 3d  6  $19 will run and give you some figures. Free version will not allow too much but runs pc through Battlefield etc didnt do too bad . They seem more interested in the 3850/8800 series. CPU-Z wasnt much better (just showed basics).
catch you later.
cheers

Basics are everything, I don't even know what clock speed your CPU is... CPU-Z would tell you that exactly rather than confusing you.

will try to get a print out link posted shortly. But reading the report from C-NET it shows the p4 running as core 2 duo.(or dual core??) which might mean 2.26 ghz per core available.or 3.0 +1.52 extra
The link I posted needs to be changed as would only apply to whatever  pc which clicks on it.
cheers

 ??? ??? ???

I'm sorry, I really don't know what you mean.

Use CPU-Z to work out your exact specs.

Gaming / Re: Resident Evil 5 is COMING ON PS3 / XBOX 360 !!
« on: March 16, 2008, 12:30:16 am »
w-w-w-what?! And not the wii? This bothers me to no end. Especially since I confirmed it on Gamefaqs :(

No resident evil 5 is a full HD game and to be honest it kind of deserves it. They really are doing stuff like building a really good scary atmosphere in a way just just can't do on the Wii.

Capcom made Resident Evil: Umbrella chronicles for the Wii, which had a bit of a strange development because I think they expected the Wii not to do so well so they put their 6th / 7th development team on it, the previews were awful, then Wii sales went like made and they seemed to put a much higher development team on it and it started looking pretty good. The end result is a bit of a weird thing, some people really like it, some don't think much of it at all.

I've never ever trusted Everest statistics, but 2000rpm isn't unusual.

I use Speedfan a lot and CPU-Z to check other computer specifics.

I'm not sure what you mean about up to 4.52 GHz? The only way to get netburst to clock that high is to use something like liquid nitrogen cooling  ;D.

;DJust bought cheap keyboard from PC World £4.97 and as you can see its working. Have to hit the shift key to change to lower case.
Any thoughts on cpu or monitor. Had a look at tft flatscreen monitors, the resolution and contrast ratio vary quite a bit .
cheers

No idea on CPUs reallly, specific Intel CPUs ain't my thing.

TFT monitors are all about what price you want to spend, then looking up the best for that price. Any colour brightness above 400 nits is a bit pointless and an easy way to get contrast ratio higher it to increase the maximum brightness.

So yeah, 20 inch wide screen 1680 x 1050 monitors are pretty cheap these days it seems.

Do you mean Caps or do you mean shift? Or both?

I'd suggest asking around on other tech forums as well.

Do you mean shift is always held down?

You might want to look up sticky keys or shift lock on some windows sites, not sure.

Good to hear everything is working, though I'm not sure what you mean about on the RAM... Good to hear everything is working, what CPU did you get in the end?

Beta 4 just released.

I and others pushed for a beta 5, which we've got now, but I think that should wrap things up nicely, so I don't think we'll need a beta 6.

The browser is now very stable and I'd recommend it over IE, older versions of Firefox or Opera at this point.
