We need A way Of testing why sites aren't returning results.

If I see "Virgin Media has received an order from the High Court requiring us to prevent access to this site." in the Script debugger its easy for me to understand why the script isn't working but for noobs they may just think bitche isn't much good.

We could also do with a way of testing the proxies and maybe switching them.

Possibly having country options to configure proxies depending on what country you are in.

Also there seems to be a bit of a bug in the handling of Proxies when the Profile begins with /

Bit Che doesn't seem to like searching for commas




I also noticed whilst playing that BitChe doesn't use the standard temp directory and it renames the files it is downloading
Do we really need another temp directory to find an clean especially one that may be as incriminating as this one potentially could be.


I admit the renaming wouldn't normally be a problem but I was playing and ended up with a file called "temp_7646855.torrent" that BitChe tried to open in utorrent that didn't have a clue what to do with the file as it should have been called "Syb Groeneveld - Creative Commons Mp3" and opened with VLC.

@chip If you want to test the script I have attached it WARNING don't use the view torrent BitChe doesn't like it.

Yes I'm aware most people wont even notice it.

When you start Bit Che and there are updates available if you click details it only shows one of the updates even if there is more than one this is confirmed if you click details after the update has finished.

Scripts & Development / A Rough attempt at a script converter

It does some basic search an replace stuff
some scripts will convert without any editing most may need some.
Added a check box for the most basic scripts this can optimize the code a little.

The Basics
1) put the path to your 1.60 scripts folder in the text box on the left

2) put a folder for the 2.0 RC1 converted scripts in the text box on the right (I wouldn't recommend default as an update will wipe out your work so far)

3) click "Refresh Lists"

4) Select a script from the top listbox this should now be displayed in the editor.

5) click "Translate" this will attempt a translation some editing may be needed.

6) Click "Save Dest" this will save the new script to the folder designated in the right textbox and refresh the bottom list.

7) Test your converted script

As you may be aware TPB is being blocked in a lot of countries even my beloved England the nice people at the Pirate Party UK have provided a proxy so that everyone can carry on enjoying the TPB.

They are even good enough to provide it in a nice HTTPS form so it will only work on Bit Che 2.0 build 16 - beta or Newer thanks chip.

The piraten partij nl where nice enough to provide a proxy for KickAssTorrents (kat.ph.proxy.piratenpartij.nl)

What's more important is they should allow gate sizes <10nm a fast approaching wall.

Some sites allow just searching on name or search only seeded torrents

Can we have some options in the scripting language to bypass parts of the removed results feature.

Just done a script for intertracker.org (German) and it heavily crops the names on the results page it would be good to bypass the filter for this as the search is based on the full name only so all the results are good.


It may also be good to have the script updates tied to the language the user has selected (or/and an option to use more than one language) then we could start to have the different languages in the script pack instead of users having to search the forums.
