The main feature is that Google+ can group contacts and you can publish certain things to certain groups really easy.
E.g if you had a work group then you wouldn't want to publish personal photos to it most likely so you would select the family group.

That's just like saying by using any server your at risk of hackers (Sony are a prime example).

But I suppose if the file hosts were legally required to hand over your details they would but I don't recall any case like this.

Rapid-share are a file hosting company.
People upload copyrighted files to a hosting site like Rapidshare so they don't need to seed and most file hosts offer cash rewards for a high amount of traffic to a file.

Rapidshare offer SSL encrypted downloads which gives a lot or pirates peace of mind as opposed to torrents where your IP address is readily available.

I for one have been using file hosting website for 4 years nearly. I consistently receive 6.0MBps which is another advantage of downloading from servers.

One more thing usually its around $11 a month for premium accounts with file hosts and this gives you unlimited downloads.
