Yes I know they are singers, and good ones at that. But that is only a small part of the original clue. You have forgotten about being a famous painter (on TV ) Tying his friend "Joey" down and blowing into his long tube.

Thank you deckkeeper from the bottom of my heart. My hair was just about to go grey trying to get that lazy  pink fellow to use his noggin. Rolf  Harris has actually had no 1 on hit parade and had his own TV show in UK for many years,where he painted for the audience.
Some of his paintings are worth a load of money. Billy has probably watched him on TV and sang along.
