anyone spare an invite to hdbits.org ? looks like a sweet site, would love to add it to my bit che search.
mojo
Send me a PM, but I warn you that you need to keep your upload above 0.45 almost all the time (you only need to do this once you hit 10 GBs but that'll happen quickly so be careful
)
Quantum, I sent you a pm, but have not heard back. Did you get my message about hdbits? I could use an invite if you can spare it to ohknow[at]gmail.com

oops, Yes Quantum, thanks for the invite. hdbits rocks, I have a 10mbit connection down and 1mbit up so the ratio should not be hard. Also the script you added for hdbits to bit che is working perfectly.

I have a similar and I struggle with ratio, wouldn't be able to download much if it wasn't for a free leach week shortly after I joined.
But well worth it, the site is awesome

I wonder if you ran into issues like I did where I took my laptop to work and did a ton of uploading from an IP that the site did not recognize. I uploaded like 2gb and did not get any credit. Now I login to each website from the new IP and then start the session with utorrent to make sure I get credit for uploads.

which site was it? the site's tracker should always validate your 'cookies' stored on your computer with your Account, and regardless of your IP it should give you credit.. unless the tracker is stupid.. in which case, the tracker would then let you 'download' the torrent without having an account.. you could test that by downloading a torrent, then switching IPs and firing up uTorrent. any private site should check your IP against your login cookies and deny download/upload for the torrent unless you match an account, at which point, the tracker should then obviously give you credit, since it has validated you..

I assume the site in question is HDBits.org I've had the odd problem with upload but I mainly blame uTorrent as it was fine while I was using Azureus.
mojo that's a real shame that your upload failed, I know how much 2GBs is worth on there. If your internet connection can handle it without it slowing everything down (mine sure can't). Leave 10+ Torrents uploading even if they're not doing anything, that way you get lots of bonus.

I don't know of any tracker which uses your cookies to validate your IP. Most private sites use a passkey system to match your IP with your account, but there are a few (demonoid springs to mind) which just use your IP.

I know this is getting completely off topic, but since the discussion is going, it appears that a few sites, hdbits.org being one of them logs your ip when you log into their site, as long as the last logged in IP matches the IP you are uploading or downloading from then you get credit, if it doesn't then you do not. I have not tested is the same happens for not counting download. Typically I start a download and it completes at home on my laptop then I go to work and let it seed, if I forget to login to the website to have it capture my work IP then all my upload is not credited. Sucks.

we're not sure about converting TH scripts yet, we both use proprietary parsing languages, but we'll see...
as far as new ones go, I'm mainly focused on developing the application (along with my other projects).. I hope that in the future, more users will take some to learn the script language and then help create more scripts for everyone..
