I saw that TheHalf mentioned this in another thread. How is it different than the old Suse? I used to be a big fan of Suse but I always ended up going back to Windows because of simplicity and compatability.

i realize my comment is out of place here, but nonetheless, I've considered switching over to any other platform if I wouldnt have to learn a new programming language. but I think that my days are numbered with vb6 anyways, so maybe I should start looking around for the next best option for me, although, i really think i'm going to be satisfied with Vista (haven't used the final yet but RC2 was great for me).

I have tried numerous times and I can also guarantee, nobody can switch to linux as their primary OS and be satisifed. You'll always come back to Windows to do something.
