Posting pics etc.

  I seem to be having problems posting a pic and wonder if there is a kind person out there to explain to me simply.. how to post pics into a thread or topic.  I am used to just hitting a browse bar and searching through my pics for the right one and loading that way.  HELP!!!

No.. i don't have photo bucket or whatever its called.. and have only just got image shack or something.. but still know nothing about it. Basically.. i am not technically minded about these things.. so need the ABC in doing it......... now.. watch you all run for your lives..

when you are making a post here, at the bottom of the edit box, you will see "Additional Options".. if you click this link, then you can upload/attach any type of file, pictures included

i may have to get new glasses..    for a start.. i can't even see an edit button, let alone additional options.. maybe its because i am still a newbie and can't access that stuff yet..

OK since I don't have much else to do I'll talk you step by step WITH PICTURES about (probably the long way but a way none the less) of how to make a pic show up here.

Right Number 1:

Go to ImageShack

Number 2:

Hit browse (as you've found) and find your file and double click on the image or click open. The address of it on your computer will appear in the box next to browse.

Number 3

Click HOST IT! (both of these are highlighted in red: )



Number 4

The next screen will look like this:



Number 5

Click (once) on the box next to Direct Link (the one I've highlighted in red) and press ctrl+c (or right click and copy).

Number 6

Now go to your post.

Number 7

Click the button underneath Italics (see highlighted in red: )




Number 8

Press ctrl+V or right click where the cursor is and click Paste.

It should now look something like this:

Finish of your message and post your image!

Wow... I feel so smart now.. haha.. it worked.. you made it so easy.  I minimized the page i wanted to post it on.. had another minimized with your instructions.. then opened image shack.. you made me feel like a real pro... thanks.. cos i know how blonde i can be at times.. Thanks again.
