What does a CDL staffing agency do?
« on: February 04, 2025, 09:28:58 pm »
I’ve heard about CDL staffing agencies, but I don’t fully understand how they work. Do they only help trucking companies, or do they also assist drivers in finding jobs?

A CDL staffing agency works as a bridge between trucking companies and drivers. They help companies fill open positions with qualified drivers while providing job seekers with access to multiple opportunities. These agencies often streamline the hiring process, offering benefits like pre-negotiated salaries and job placements tailored to the driver’s experience and location.

Guys, has anyone tried looking for a job as a driver through Canadian agencies? I'm interested in real experience - how quickly they find vacancies, how legally everything is processed, and whether they help with documents, if, for example, you just moved or are still on a visa. I want to understand whether it makes sense to contact at all or is it better to search directly?

I just got a job through a job agency at https://jobssite.ca/ a couple of months ago — I was going to Canada on a work visa and was looking for vacancies for experienced drivers with a class 1 license. The agency really helped out: they helped with the paperwork, found a suitable company that needed delivery to the regions. Everything is official, I quickly got to work, and the salary is strictly according to the contract. Honestly, I would not have found such an option so quickly myself. So I recommend it — especially if you are new to the country.
