How to order a translation with linguistic adaptation?
« on: September 25, 2025, 03:37:34 pm »
Hello! I need to translate some texts for a website, but a standard translation won't do - it needs to sound natural for another country, taking into account the culture and language. Can you advise me where to find such services and how to tell if a specialist is really adapting the text rather than just translating it word for word?

I recently faced a similar task when I needed to adapt texts, not just translate them, but make them sound natural to a different audience. Regular translators can't handle this; you need an approach that involves linguistic adaptation. I found a useful option that describes such services in detail - here is the link here. You can take a look; it explains how they work with 10 languages and what they pay attention to during adaptation.

Thanks, I'll take a look! Tell me, do they only do full translations with adaptation, or can you order proofreading and editing of a finished text? And how quickly do they usually do work for several pages?
