« on: May 17, 2016, 08:41:48 pm »
When i search with russian titles, i get results with broken characters like "Ea?aioceee. Ioeuoeee aey iaeu?eeia". Is that normal?

No, still "Niyuee eaaa?u 2" instead of "Спящий лагерь 2" etc. The same for Rutor.org - many "?" intead of cyrillic letters

OK lets try some things?

1. can you run the attached debug.exe and copy/paste these parts?

Operation System:
    Major: 6   Minor: 2   Build: 9200   Platform: 2   CSDver:
    Wine: False

Detected Language:
    Charset: 1   LangID: 1252   UserDefault: 1033   SystemDefault: 1033

2.  can you extract the attached scripts to your folder and try searching with each, one at a time.   is there any difference between all 3?

1. Operation System:
    Major: 5   Minor: 1   Build: 2600   Platform: 2   CSDver: Service Pack 3
    Wine: False

Detected Language:
    Charset: 238   LangID: 1251   UserDefault: 1049   SystemDefault: 1049

2. Searching results with script 3 is different from 1 and 2. I did try copy name of torrent to clip and paste to notepad, but after pasting they became the same.

Now it's ok, thanks. Can you fix all scripts for russian trackers? Rutor.org? Or in such version it will not be correct for other users? If so i will edit it manually and after updating scriptpack replace them.

i think i figured it out and have both scripts working on a test machine  (same script works on both russian or english pc). i will need to release a new version in the near future. i improved the html code page translating and this way it should work regardless of the computer without having to modify the script.

hi, can you test the latest version 3.5 build 50? it should be working for you..

ALSO,  if you have time, do you mind updating the Russian.ini translation?  The file needs to be saved in "Unicode" format, and then it should display fine in Bit Che.

rutor.org still shows abracadabra.

Ok, will translate it a bit later today. Although used to use original languages for software.

Have finished russian translation. But not in ansi 1251, not in unicode 1200 doesn't show correct chars in "about" window. Anyway not reason to bother - english version is pretty suitable for me

OK thank you sir.

Do you mind trying 1 more thing to help me with the characters..
can you:
1. go to File | Log HTTP Connections.
2.  then select only rutor.org
3. run a search for anything
4. go to File | Open App Data Folder -->  then go to the "logs" folder.
5. attach the rutor log .txt   here..

what is strange is that I setup a Windows 7 "Russian" OS in a virtual machine, and it works for me. I suppose I can try setting up Windows XP as well - -but so much has changed since then, maybe the Win32 API is just different. *shrug*.. will continue to investigate.

I get 2 log files. Also the screen what i get in rusult. By the way i use win xp english version but with russian regional option. But don't remember that i had the same problem with different apps. Maybe only with some chinese and japanese software.

Also when use portable version Bit Che (settings.ini in the same folder as exe) clicking "open app data folder" doing nothing.

And question: Can it shows in searching results chinese characters? For example when i search in maintracker from web browser with "onmyouza", i can get:

"Onmyouza (陰陽座) - Zekkai Enbu (絶界演舞) [2012, JRock/Heavy metal, DVD5+DVD9]"

But from Bit Che:

Onmyouza (陰陽座) - Zekkai Enbu (絶界演舞) [2012, JRock/Heavy metal, DVD5+DVD9]

Wanted to test the same with asiandvbclub. I had account here some years ago, but now it doesn't work and impossible to register new right now. Normally it should show unicode characters in searching results?
