Now , how about a little change for this one. Not only do you get a photo,but a little Bird sitting on the light fixture.
You will have no difficulty guessing where I am. Hola. ::)

Had this little feathered friend on camera for quite a while.

Miraflores lock on the Panama Canal, Panama :)

and im not really a bird expert, so i'm just going to have to go with a roundabout guess:  Trogon, Tanager, or Kiskadee

Ha Ha. ;D I knew you would guess the Panama Canal. Its absolutely facinating wathing these huge ships in almost real time( I probably spend at least an hour each nite watching.
Yes of course you are correct chip and as Bovski pointed out that "steve" was the birds name is unfortunately not correct. Poor "steve" passed away suddenly last year when he flew into a ships funnel and got toasted. This one is called "juanita" a pretty little bird and to the best of my knowledge is a " Orange Breasted Falcon " You will notice the large claw like feet for grabbing prey

An orange-breasted falcon watches its mate fly overhead. We encoutnered this pair of fairly rare falcons behind Temple #4 at Tikal. A nest was later found in a nearby Maya structure. It makes me wonder if, as they were building Tikal, the Mayans enjoyed watching birds such as these lovely falcons,



The points are on their way. Not that Bovski needs any more from me .lol
